A new era for Palm?? Palm Pre announced today!

The long awaited OS upgrade to the palm class is finally here. Palm has just has put a serious competitor out to the iPhone. The new Palm features a touchscreen and full slid out QWERTY keyboard. The hardware is very similar looking to the HTC touch. The OS is based on a Linux platform but is web based called webOS. It is by far the most fluid OS I have seen to date. Palm has said it will be releasing a SDK available soon. Release date of the phone is still TBA. I was seriously thinking of switching over to AT&T and getting the iPhone. But with this new player in the game might convince me to stay with Sprint (of course pending release date, my contract is already up). Read the full hand on review and video from Engadget. I didn’t really like the overall look of the phone but the software is so fluid its hard not to like the phone.
