Mashable is reporting from a verified source that Amazon Kindle Fire Pre-orders are up to 250,000 in just 5 days.  Definitely an impressive mark.  The Kindle Fire is set to release on November 15.  A great cheap alternative to most tablets but definitely not a replacement for the iPad – Via Mashable

Just a few days after HP announced the fire sale on HP Touchpad, hackers have been able to get Android 2.2.1 running on it. This bad boy started at 499 but the price has ran up to 860 so far.  Does it have potential to sell over 1000? Why not just buy a XOOM running Android 3.0?

HTC announced today the HTC Flyer Tablet.  The first HTC tablet to feature HTC Sense.  Just like majority of HTC products, it will run Android.  Along with Android the hardware is a 7 inch display with a 1.5 Ghz processor, 1GB Ram, 32GB internal, 5 MP  camera, 1.3 MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, micro-SD card slot, and HDMI-out.

Bloomberg reported yesterday that Blackberry playbook and phones will run Android Apps.  This is a huge move by RIM, since their app store is lackluster and Google Android Marketplace is growing massively.  There will be a google launcher to use the Apps.. possible a Java VM.  Chalk up another win for Google.

Today Amazon officially made its own Appstore for Google Android devices.  Amazon recently said it would devote resources to developing kindle apps for android devices.  Amazon said it will use its proven marketing and merchandising features to help make apps successful.  Amazon will have the right set the prices for apps and they split the income with developers.  You can sign up today for free, waiving the annual fee (99 dollars afterwards).

I think Amazon will eventually take a stab at creating an Android device.

Samsung today is reporting that it has sold 10 million Galaxy S handsets in 2010.  The Galaxy S has become Samsung’s most successful cell phone.  The Galaxy S Phone uses popular Mobile OS Android created by Google.  Google Android is serious competitor to Apple’s iOS.  Let’s see what exciting Samsung Galaxy S phone models this year!

Google announced Google Maps Navigation, a replacemet for your GPS.  Advantages of Google Maps Navigation it is connected to the cloud unlike GPS systems. A full program is expected for Android Phones. Just in time for the Droid release November 6th.
