Facebook is at it again. Changing up the way Facebook page looks and feels. They state its a simpler layout, lets see how long it takes fellow facebookers to get use to it. Let the ‘change fb back’ groups start!

Facebook Privacy Goes Live

Facebook Privacy Settings go officially live today. You should see a privacy pop up once you log on to Facebook.

Facebook Changes coming

Mark Zuckberg makes annoucement on Facebook. The changes are specifically coming to privacy.

Here is a summary of the changes

1. Remove regional networks and create simpler model for privacy control where you can set content to be available to only your friends, friends of your friends, or everyone.

2. We’re adding something that many of you have asked for — the ability to control who sees each individual piece of content you create or upload.

3. privacy settings page simpler by combining some settings.

Action Item for you: Since this update will remove regional networks and create some new settings, in the next couple of weeks we’ll ask you to review and update your privacy settings. You’ll see a message that will explain the changes and take you to a page where you can update your settings. When you’re finished, we’ll show you a confirmation page so you can make sure you chose the right settings for you. As always, once you’re done you’ll still be able to change your settings whenever you want.

Addicted to Facebook Applications?

Facebook is a victim a familiar spyware bot that use to affect AOL AIM users. Many users who have an addiction to adding every single application out on Facebook are now a victim of the ‘Someone has a crush on you’ Spamming Application. It’s not clear which application is creating this problem, but I suggest that Facebook Guru’s start cracking down on this. Users that have the application, it automatically creates messages on friends wall to have them check out the special crush. You may ask how does the application have access. Well if you remember, when you add an application it asks if you would would like to grant it access to your account.

So the big questions is how do you fix this and why isnt Facebook controlling this? For the first question: My suggestion is to remove unused applications. If the application is smart as spyware, it will say its remove when its not. As far as the 2nd question, I think they are too occupied upgrading to the New Facebook.
