A 2 year contract with Verizon (20 bucks a month) + 600 dollars will buy you a Motorola Xoom.  Probably the first real competitor to the iPad.  Apple’s 3g iPad runs at 629 with no contract requirement. Data plans at 30 bucks a month.  New pricing model may be in store as the iPad 2 annoucement will come in March.

In the mist of the iPad 2 just around the corner.  Bestbuy site earlier today showed dummy sku’s for iPads.  The sku’s are no longer appearing on the site.  Excitement of a new iPad. Boy its hard to keep up with Apple and its new refreshes yearly. I would be ok if they didn’t release a new one until August or early 4Q. (Just bought mine in Nov eek!)

Verizon iPhone  is here.  AT&T customer biggest complain has been the reliability of the network.  From Drop calls to data request being denied, Verizon says it is ready for the iPhone device.  The device will be available on Feb 11th.  AT&T stock has taken a hit after the announcement as customer loss is expected.
